In the 1st quarter of 2021, the customs authorities transferred 1,329.9 billion rubles to the federal budget. The achieved fiscal result exceeded the forecast target by 26.4%. Compared to the same period in 2020, the amount of federal budget revenues administered by the FCS of Russia increased by 12% or 142 billion rubles.

Growth is demonstrated by non-oil and gas revenues, which account for more than 69% of the total amount of transfers for the 1st quarter of 2021.

The main contribution to the formation of income from foreign economic activity is made by payments collected when importing goods. Their receipts compared to the same period last year increased by almost 27.5% and amounted to 920.9 billion rubles. The growth in payments levied on imports is associated with an increase in the value of imports of goods by 21%.

Trends in receipts of customs payments levied for the export of goods in the current year are due to the growth in the volume of hydrocarbon exports and world prices for crude oil and natural gas. In the first quarter of 2021, amid a tax maneuver, the amount of oil and gas revenues administered by the Federal Customs Service of Russia amounted to 373.4 billion rubles, which is almost 42% more than the forecast target.
