Scientific and technical cooperation is intensifying in the EEU

Issues of developing scientific and technical cooperation between the states of the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed by the Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Glazyev and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov. The meeting took place on October 27 in Bishkek.

The Ministry of Transport is fully prepared to launch from September 1, 2022 the state information system, which provides the possibility of using electronic transport documents, primarily the waybill.


Results of the anniversary SPIEF 2022

The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2022) was held from June 15 to 18. This year it was visited by representatives of more than 140 countries and territories. Agreements were concluded for the amount of 5.6 trillion rubles. Details are under the cut.


Import of technological equipment before filing a customs declaration

On May 5, a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation came into force, approving the list of technological equipment and spare parts for it, imported as part of the implementation of investment projects, which are allowed to be imported into the Russian Federation before filing a declaration for goods.


The first package of amendments to the Customs Code of the EAEU will be prepared in 2022

At a meeting of the working group on improving customs regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union, it was decided by February 20 to update the list of priority issues that will be included in the first package of amendments to the Customs Code of the EAEU. The meeting was held on February 9 at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission with the participation of representatives of the Union countries.


Russian Railways assumes that container transit through the network will grow to 4 million TEU in 2027

Transit transportation of containers through the Russian Railways network will grow to 4 million TEU in 2027. That’s nearly four times what it was in 2021, and some experts say the plan is “virtually unrealistic.”


Happy International Customs Day

Every year on January 26, customs officers all over the world celebrate their professional holiday – International Customs Day. The date was not chosen by chance – it was on this day in 1953 that the first session of the World Customs Organization, then known as the Customs Cooperation Council, took place in Brussels.


The Russian government allowed to provide business with information from the “Honest sign” system

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree amending the procedure for access to information of the Honest Sign digital marking and tracking system.


The Kyrgyz Republic received the chairmanship in the bodies of the EAEU

During 2022, the Kyrgyz Republic will chair the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
