The Ministry of Transport is fully prepared to launch from September 1, 2022 the state information system, which provides the possibility of using electronic transport documents, primarily the waybill.

This was announced at a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the development of electronic document management in economic activity. It was attended by the head of the Federal Tax Service Daniil Egorov, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Transport of the Federal Notary Chamber and business of Russia.

The participants of the meeting noted that the process of cargo transportation during the experiment became faster and cheaper for the participants and more transparent for the state. The potential for savings by avoiding the use of paper waybills for companies is more than 16 billion rubles.

To be able to check such documents on the road, special software was developed and tested jointly with the traffic police, which will read the QR code and visualize the data from the electronic waybill for the inspector. The driver will receive the QR code itself from the electronic document management operator through which documents are exchanged, and such a code signed will be an electronic signature of the state information system.
